Stuff with 8th Division Insignia on it

Please read this very carefully !

We would like to make 8th Division items available to all you Vets and 8th Division supporters. The problem is that we can't justify the expense to mass produce it all in advance, store and ship it. However, we've found a very good way to allow you to get some great 8th Division items. We are working the Internet company IPRINT to let you CUSTOM design T-shirts, mugs, mousepads, and yes... even golf balls!

What we do is this: we put 8th Division artwork on the web. You should either copy or write down the web address of the artwork you want. Then click on the IPRINT link and play with their really nifty design software. You can add in our artwork by typing in the web address, and as these are large files it is much faster than trying to upload it yourself. You can save your designs on their site until you have them just the way you want. Then you place the order, they make it up and ship it to you.

What is nice about this system is that you can customize the design to add names, dates, units, slogans, anything you want. Want a mug with your service photo on one side and the division insignia on the other? A T-shirt with your regimental design on the front and division patch on the back? The IPRINT people do a very nice job, and their software is really quite powerful (and fun to work with).

The Catches: not too many.

First, only IF you enter the IPRINT site through our web page (by clicking on their ad) then we get credit for the sale. A small percentage gets paid to us, and we can use it for paying our sever fees, domain name registration, and getting more artwork to place here. As a matter of fact, the more interest we see from this link the more time we will spend adding artwork. So please, try and use our link to go there. We get credit for ANY order that starts with out page, it does not have to be 8th related.

Second: if you do not understand about image resolution, be very careful! graphics on the web are very low resolution and will not print well. You need a high resolution piece of art. DO NOT just copy something you find on the web and expect it to look good- it won't!

Third- we tried a few different things. some of the stuff we tried did not look as good as we hoped. We do like the way that actual embroidered insignia scanned at a high-res looks. So we are starting off with some of those, and some Infantry Regt artwork that we hope meets your needs. Feel free to tell us what else you want here to use!

Fourth. Please, don't rush into an order. The IPRINT software is very powerful and once you get the hang off it you can really manipulate the design. DO NOT order without careful consideration of what you have. If you want the text up higher, use the "nudge command" to push it around. Take your time and save your designs for later if it is not exactly the way you want it.

We have a few links to saved items. These can serve as a jumping off point for you. If you want a 13th Regt mug, to our 28th Regt mug, change the text, and change the graphic to the 13th IR. If you make something and think someone else would like to use your design as a starting point, let us know the reference number that IPRINT gives you. If you are having trouble, or there's something you really want to see us put here, just email me.
